Boat Plastics & Graphics

Located on the Solent, Hampshire Signs & Plastics are based in the heart of the British Marine industry within easy access to some of the south’s best marinas. With an ideal location and a reputation for quality, it’s little surprise that we hold a strong position locally, manufacturing plastics for boat builders, tradesmen, brokers and owners alike.

Typically we will manufacture;

  • Windows and screens
  • Hatch covers, replacements and liners
  • Washboards
  • Battery boxes
  • Tanks (fresh, sewage and fuel)
  • Cold cupboard lids

Our signs department are also able to design, manufacture and install;

  • Boat graphics
  • Boat names
  • SSR registration numbers

When manufacturing replacements we ask that where possible, we are provided with the originals to work from. We recognise that it may not always be possible to do this, as it would mean leaving the vessel unsecured. In these instances, we are able to work from templates of either paper, cardboard or hardboard to ensure a perfect fit. The products can then be polished, drilled or bevelled according to the individual requirements.

Boat windows

Most boat windows are manufactured from 6-12mm thick, in a mid grey tinted acrylic. We are able to adjust this according to the individual needs of the client and the boat, offering acrylic in thicknesses from 3-24mm and in a variety of tints or even clear.

Washboards

Traditionally, washboards are wooden. It can however, be advantageous to consider switching to acrylic. Not only will acrylic allow light into the cabin, but the plastic can be tinted to allow for privacy inside your cabin. Acrylic is a hardy material and unlike wood, will not rot, meaning your washboards will last longer.

Hatches

Over times, hatches can become crazed or discoloured and need replacing. We are able to make these replacements to your exact requirements, complete with liners and holes for vents as needed.
